What does a fire risk assessment cost?
Prices last checked 23 August 2026
£250 to £1,200
by property type, VAT status not stated · 🔴 One published range, read 23 August 2026. The page does not say whether the figures include VAT, so they cannot be compared like for like with a quote that does. Establish that first.
One published UK price list gives £250 to £550 for an office, £300 to £650 for a warehouse or an HMO, £400 to £900 for a restaurant and £500 to £1,200 for a care home. 🔴 That page does not state whether the figures include VAT, and until you know, they cannot be compared with a quote that does: at 20% the difference is larger than the gap between two of those bands. What moves the price is time on site, and time on site is driven by sleeping risk and the number of floors far more than by square metres. A single-storey office and a five-storey one of the same total area are not the same job, because every extra floor is another set of escape routes and another compartmentation check.
